| How HYDROCASE works | | 1. the relative humidity is over 71% : | | the sliding vent closes and after another 3 hours the air will be circulated without humidification. |  | | Because the sliding vent is closed during these 3 hours, the minimum evaporation is almost zero. The air inside the humidor is not humidified. |  | | 2. the relative humidity is below 71% : | | the sliding vent opens for the next 3 hours. After these 3 hours the circulation takes place again and the air passes the moist sponge. The humidified air flows back into the humidor through the sliding vent. |  | | Because the sliding vent stays open during these 3 hours, the air inside the humidor is humidified - just like at a conventional humidifier. |  |
